I am proud to share my process, so every potential collector can feel confident that this work was created by a real artist, not stolen by AI.
This page takes you from idea to finished painting, using multiple examples.
I don't have photos for every step for every painting, sorry, so I include a ton of sketchbook images at the end.

Rough Idea Sketch.
Yes, this one started really dumpy looking. It was actually in a painting as as side character, that painting got trashed, these guys received center stage!

Reference Image Creation - this one was as lot of photo bashing!
I used sparrows because it was easier to find group shots. Reference images are always used with permission, or created myself. (this one was used with perms.)

Colour feel. This one had so many good possibilities.
