Reality is boring.
Your walls don't have to be that way - put some whimsy on them.
Current Expedition: Canadiana Fantasia
Magical Realism Inspired by the Canadian Experience.
Ongoing series.
Will include 8-10 anchor pieces & 15 supporting works.
Meese
The might of the moose, the parenting talent of the goose. Created in response to the overwhelming push to support Canadians. The spring snow experience (crunchy, a bit filthy, random ice patches) doesn't disrupt this family's morning routine.
Open Edition Reproductions -> 11" x 14" ($20)
Closed Edition Reproductions, archival quality cotton, signed & numbered (25) -> 18" x 24" ($225)

Unstoppable Force
This painting conveys one component of nature that is inevitable - death. Boons cannot fly in the open air, but they are adept at using their powerful wings to travel into deeper water without great difficulty.
Inspired by a river near Invermere, BC, where salmon runs used to occur.
Open Edition Reproductions -> 12" x 18" ($20)
Closed Edition Reproductions, archival quality cotton, signed & numbered (25) -> 15" x 24" ($225)
Original: $3,400
48" x 30", acrylic on canvas.
Weaver Damn
Spiders are great home builders. So are beavers. These are excellent enviromental health indicators - they require clean, slow-flowing streams to create their little homes.
Open Edition Reproductions -> 12" x 18" ($20)
Original: $1,200
20" x 16", acrylic on canvas.
The Rustler
In Alberta, ranchers were forced to contend with occasional losses of entire herds after a role-playing dragon moved into their region. The Rustler is a competent actor, using swishes of his tail to emulate the movements of cows, luring herds away from farms with ease.
Worry not, The Rustler cares deeply for his cows and does not act out of gluttony. Just odd hoarding habits.
Open Edition Reproductions -> 12" x 18" ($20)
Original: NFS
30" x 18", acrylic on canvas.
Urban Birberus
Oh, and you thought magpies were crafty? Meet one the bird-cerberus that caused legislative changes Canada-wide. Efforts to stop their destruction of decorative architecture failed. Only brutalist cities have retained some semblance of normality. Thankfully, they struggle to agree on things over extended periods of time, limiting their potential for world domination.
Open Edition Reproductions -> 12" x 18" ($20)
Original: $1,400
24" x 18", acrylic on canvas.
Explorations: Non-series works
Letting my brush walk away from the big expedition often guides me to wonderful new friends.
Fin-Dining Collection
Goldfish are considered 'absentminded' - I feel pretty absentminded when I can't remember what's in my fridge.
Only one fish remains, collection is otherwise sold out.
